A Walk to Remember

Kastellet, one of the best preserved fortifications of Northern Europe is constructed in the form of a pentagram with the bastions along the corners. At the entrance, there was a set of rules warning us of the military area. Otherwise, Kastellet was peaceful with no visible military activities except for the colorful canons at the park.

It was already the beginning of winter, but the scene still had some of the autumn colors left. The colors of the many houses were vibrant and eye-catching. The park was very well maintained and the joggers and families were enjoying every bit of it. There were magpies, ducks and swans for company.

More information on the Kastellet can be found here.
